Aughton Grange is located in an exclusive, picturesque and peaceful residential area in Aughton, two miles south of Ormskirk. The Home is a large Victorian house with attractive gardens. We cater for people over the age of 65 who may be confused, disorientated and incapable of managing their own care. Aughton Grange is dual registered and provides both nursing and residential care to residents.
We fully recognise how difficult it can be to make the final decision to move a family member into care, especially when families are trying their best to cope with their relative at home. At Aughton Grange we are here to take on that responsibility so that your relative can not only live in a pleasant environment, but also to give you the peace of mind that they are being supported, stimulated and looked after in the best possible way.
Aughton Grange provides a variety of activities specifically geared to residents with dementia. This includes physical activities to regain mobility, reminiscence time to aid recall, sensory activities to stimulate a person’s sense of touch, smell and taste, musical entertainment, games and outings in our minibus. We believe an activities programme is essential to residents in care environments.
In the warmer months our mature gardens are peaceful places to sit and we encourage residents to do this if they wish. We have two chefs who provide excellent home cooked meals and who are happy to cater for any particular request a resident may have for a meal.
