The Bentley Care Home is comprised of three large Victorian houses and is divided into 2 units. The Home is situated about a mile from Liverpool city centre and is close to Sefton Park.
The Bentley House consists of 34 pleasantly decorated rooms and cares for the elderly suffering with dementia. The Bentley Unit has 19 en suite rooms and cares for people suffering with complex needs. There is an attractive secure garden area where residents can sit during the warmer months. We have regular barbecues in the garden in the summer, which our residents enjoy and any relatives are very welcome to join us.
We have an activities coordinator who organizes outings, in house entertainment, musical entertainment, film shows etc. We believe an activities programme is an essential element in the care that we provide.
We have a small group of Chinese residents for whom we provide carers who can converse with the residents in their own language, so they immediately feel at home. Our chef prepares a wide variety of freshly cooked Chinese meals as well as providing excellent British home cooking.
The Bentley has recently given a home to a rescue dog, obtaining all necessary permissions from Care Standards etc. We have found our dog to be extremely therapeutic and the residents are very enthusiastic about looking after him. No wonder he has settled in so quickly!
